Tia Mowry and Pooch Hall shared details about the upcoming return of “The Game” in a recent interview with HipHollywood.com. After a year off the air and a move to an entirely different network, questions are buzzing about the quality of the show. Will it meet up to, or exceed, the original standards that it set? Will the show be even better?
“It’s all the same,” Mowry told HipHollywood, claiming that the production staff and cast for the show have not changed and are the ones that made the show as popular as it is.
Hall supported Mowry’s claim and the network that is giving the television show another opportunity to shine.
“We’re going to pick up where we left off,” Hall said in the interview. “As far as what people may think about BET, BET has brought the whole cast of the game—and just so you know we ain’t cheap!”
The show, which focuses around the actions of an African-American couple, holds a special significance for Gregory Alan Williams, who plays Mowry’s father on set. For many years, the public has watched shows that feature Black actors and actresses arrive and disappear into thin air. Williams said that he is proud that the highly-anticipated season is on its way back. “This is the first time in history that an African-American show, with an African-American audience has been resurrected by African-Americans.”
