From Black Voices — While she may have lost at winning a Golden Globe Award this past Sunday for her role in ‘Frankie and Alice,’ and has several projects yet be filmed, one project you won’t see Oscar winner Halle Berry doing is the biopic of soul legend Aretha Franklin.
Or at least that’s the way it seems.
Not soon after the 68-year-old Queen of Soul spoke on the Wendy Williams show about wanting the Oscar winner to play her in a biopic, Berry spoke to E! News on the Golden Globes red carpet, killing any rumors, and citing her inability to sing as too big of an obstacle in undertaking the role.
“If I could carry a tune, I’d consider it,” she said. “Someone should tell Aretha that I can’t do her justice.”
