Hurray for GREAT TV!

It’s official, Raven Symoné is returning to the small screen to star in the new half-hour comedy, “The Great State of Georgia.”

The show, which was recently picked up for 10 episodes, will follow Raven’s character, Georgia, a southern gal who moves to New York City to pursue her dreams of being a performer. It will also star Majandra Delfino, Meagen Fay, and Brock Cuchna, who will play Georgia’s ex-boyfriend who travels to NYC to win her back.

Georgia isn’t a new role for Raven; she first brought the character to life in a 2010 ABC Family film with the same name.

“The Great State of Georgia” will air on the cable network ABC Family later this year.
