Tiger Woods has done his best to keep a low profile in recent months. Though he returned to golfing after a five-month hiatus from the PGA Tour, Woods has made sure to keep his distance from the media since fessing up to several extra-marital affairs last year.
His squeaky clean image has probably been irreparably tarnished in the minds of the public, but the golf star is taking his first step towards the limelight again.
Speaking on a panel hosted by The Paley Center for Media, Jimmy Fallon revealed that he had landed the first interview with Tiger Woods since the athlete’s infamous indiscretions were aired out last year.
The late night host says he knew the golfer would be hesitant to do an appearance on his NBC show, “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon,” but lured him in for an interview by pitching him the idea of playing miniature golf with him. “We’re going to do it,” said Fallon of the interview is set to air this Wednesday night.
In some ways, this is a coup for Fallon who has gotten the interview many talk show hosts would have love to. However, we doubt Tiger will be opening up much while teeing off next to ceramic garden gnomes.
Tell us Clutchettes: will you be tuning in to see Tiger’s on Jimmy Fallon’s show or are you over the golfer all together?
