• Her famous mama may be media shy, but young Selah Marley is poised for the spotlight. Selah was a contributor to the April 2011 issue of Teen Vogue, and spoke about her love of music. The aspiring crooner, whose videos have been popping up online, told the glossy: “Singing is my favorite thing to do. One day I hope to get signed to a record label.” With a musical parentage like hers, she might just get her wish. [The Loop 21]
  • Speaking of Vogue, Chris Brown let it slip on his twitter page that he’ll be featured in Vogue Italia. Breezy is possibly having the best year ever. I guess his comeback is coming along just fine, thank you.  [That Grape Juice]
  • Lupe’s number one! After grinding in the hip-hop world for years, and despite label politics that delayed the release of his latest album, Lupe Fiasco is on top of the charts. His album, Lasers, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 charts and Lupe sold a hefty 204,000 copies of his third album in its opening week. Maybe good hip-hop really IS making a comeback. #hopeful [the Rap-Up]
  • It appears Drake not only appropriates Southern accents, but now he’s taking his mimicking worldwide…only this time it nearly got him arrested. During the Brit Jam Music Festival in Jamaica, Drizzy appeared along side Movado. Apparently, Dizzy wanted to let the Jamaican massive know he was one of them.  After he took the stage Drake said, “True…me from foreign, but everywhere me go now, me seh Jamaica to the blood clot world”. Somebody shoulda schooled Drizzy, Jamaica has some pretty strict “indecent language” laws (which he was warned about) and “blood clot” is a curse word. Luckily for Drake, his security team rushed him out before Jamaican police could say something to him. [Necole Bitchie]

Like she said before Drake is from Canada and if he sounded like “regular” Canadian its because the show is about Canadians. Gwyenth Paltrow plays Brithish women but she is from the U.S. Also Drake spent many times down South with his father. He sounds like he’s from the South to me I’m from Tennessee.

Lauryn’s daughter gorgeous eyebrows a lil bushy but she’s a young girl very surprised she doesn’t have locs. Will be picking up that issue.

LOL k Drake’s accent was baaaaaad but I must say, Toronto has a HUGE Jamaican population and I know people who have never set foot on Jamaican soil, yet can speak patois like nobody’s business. I even know white people who have never been to Jamaica, but can speak or understand patois for having grown up with nuff Jamaican-Canadians.
