On Friday night one of our favorite Clutchettes, Jennifer Hudson, took to the Tonight Show stage to turn it out.
Aside from performing her hit, “Where You At,” J-Hud opened up about her weight loss, being a new mommy, and how she’s adjusting to being the industry’s “It” girl.
Although Hudson is feeling her new self (and it shows!), her fiancé hasn’t quite adjusted to her new svelte figure. When Jay Leno asked how her fiancé David Otunga likes her new bod, Jennifer said, “He’s getting adjusted to it.”
Hudson went on to say:
“He’s not really into change that much so he fusses at me like, ‘Why do you have to have to get all dressed up to go out and why can’t you just go our like you used to?’ And I’m like ‘I’m a walking billboard now honey.’”
Like with anyone else, Jennifer Hudson can’t please everyone. Not only has she gotten criticism from some of her fans for her slimmer figure, apparently her man is feeling some type of way about it as well.
Although I’m sure J-Hud’s fiance’ is happy she’s healthier (and looks fierce to boot), I can’t help but notice a bit of insecurity in his thinking.
Many men whose wives and girlfriends have lost a lot of weight sometimes get worried that with their new bodies come new attitudes (and more attention from men). However, J-Hud seems to be enthralled with her new outlook on life, and her soon-to-be husband, so Otunga has nothing to worry about.
