Since the appointment of Patrick Robinson, Gap has taken on a totally different, more high-fashion feel. Collaborations with designers like Pierre Hardy have also contributed to that, as well as the use of the industry’s supermodels of now.
Anais Mali is one of the brand’s newest faces, starring in its Spring 2011 advertising campaign and now its campaign for its 1969 Summer Denim line.
In it, she rocks her own natural curly afro (not too much unlike Robinson’s), flawless skin, denim bermuda shorts and sky-high black booties. A fun and edgy look for Spring from her carefree hair to the Gap denim that is showcased perfectly.
Mali hails from Toulon, France and is of half-African and half-Polish descent. She is signed with Ford Models and some of her experience includes walking for designers including Christian Dior., Chloe, Marc Jacobs, Vera Wang and many more as well as posing in editorials for Interview, Vogue and Vogue Italia.
We can’t wait to try out Anais Mali’s look and see what other opportunities lie ahead in her bright future.
