A little while ago Beyonce teamed up with Michelle Obama for the FLOTUS’ “Let’s Move” campaign.

Childhood obesity affects nearly 40% of our nation’s kids and Mrs. Obama has made it her mission to change that.

To grasp the seriousness of the situation, Mrs. O’s “Let’s Move!” website states that, “If we don’t solve this problem, one third of all children born in 2000 or later will suffer from diabetes at some point in their lives. Many others will face chronic obesity-related health problems like heart disease, high blood pressure, cancer, and asthma.”

Who better to team up to tackle such a daunting task than the First Lady of the U.S. and one of the most popular pop stars in the world?

Beyonce recently released a remixed version of her smash hit, “Get Me Bodied” entitled “Move Your Body,” to inspire kids to workout. An official “Move Your Body” video just hit the web, and I must say it makes me want to dance.

I think this is a good message because our obesity as a country is just appalling. I think she dressed that way as a way to reach chilcdren and teens because you would typically see teens dress like that (colorful knee highs and shorts). I don’t think its sexy (well except the heels). If she had on a pair of converse it would be seen as kiddish. I am also glad that they are targeting all adolescent ages because I see 17 and 18 year olds with potbellies (no they are not pregnant) at school.

I guess the dude dancing with the broom is the janitor? LOL! I heard that there’s going to be something like 200 elementary schools who are gonna perform this next week during a flash mob. I hope they show it on the evening news. The little chubby boy in the beginning is TOO cute!

Seriously some people will always find something to bitch about. The clothes were too sexy..really? High waisted shorts and a oversize shirt and heels… please people wear less to the beach. She modified an old song… boo hoo you write a new one for her to perform if it is such a problem. Adults dancing instead of kids…really? And those things are enough to make you lose the entire positive message of getting other peoples kids to move so they don’t die of heart attacks at 23?

Seriously people, I don’t even like Beyonce and I know some of y’all are complaining just to complain.
