Our favorite girlfriend is back!

Last year we told you Tracee Ellis Ross’ new show, Reed Between the Lines, was greelighted by BET, and everyone rejoiced. This week, BET announced the sitcom will premier this fall along with new episodes of the comedies Let’s Stay Together and The Game.

Let the church say, “Amen!”

In case you missed it, in Reed Between the Lines Ross will portray Dr. Carla Reed, “a busy psychiatrist, wife, and mom struggling to balance her job, and her happy but chaotic home life.” And if that doesn’t sound dope enough, one of our favorite Cosby kids, Malcolm Jamal-Warner, will also star as Ross’ husband.

The sitcom began shooting last summer in Atlanta and is scheduled to make its debut on BET in October.

While I am delighted that Tracee Ellis Ross will be retuning to TV, I’m still feeling some kind of way about the way Girlfriends ended. Like many of you, I would love to see the cast reunite for a real finale, or better yet, a film! I guess we can all dream, and in the meantime, I’ll be turning into Ross’ new show come October.

What about you? Will you be watching ‘Reed Between the Lines’ this fall?

I will be watching this and the game, let’s stay together was ok. I will watch all three most likely to keep them on the air. And I agree with the person that said a girlfriends film would be awesome, but only if they all do it.
