I can’t possibly be the only one who didn’t realize Olivia actually had a pretty good sounding voice. However, on Monday night’s episode of Love & Hip-Hop the cameras caught the former G-unit front-woman recording the track “December,” a ballad about heartache, and for once, I sat up and took notice.

Not only is the song very pretty with its delicate congas, building bass line, and synthetic keyboards, but Olivia’s voice shines as she belts out the chorus, “It ain’t what I heard/You said you’d love me in December/I remember.”

Apparently, Olivia is not just another beautiful girl with questionable vocal skills. On “December” she not only conveys real emotion, but proves she has the power and skill to carry a show-stopping ballad.

Clutchettes and Gents, what do you think of Olivia’s “December?” Love it or leave it alone?

Some of you ARE late! She’s been singing for awhile now… Long before G-Unit. it kind of frustrates me how they attribute her career to G-Unit and this reality show! The show was not her big-up or claim to fame, just a friendly reminder that this voice is real. Music has nothing to do with taking your clothes off! If people would get their mind’s right, the one’s that deserve recognition may actually get it!
