CBS’ ousting of co-host Holly Robinson-Peete from daytime chat show, The Talk, left a void not only felt by viewers, but the program itself. Ratings suffered after the veteran Hollywood beauty, along with actress and co-host Leah Remini were dropped from the fairly new talk show, and left many wondering who, if anyone could fill their shoes.

It appears as though CBS may have found at least one replacement, as Deadline reports that Aisha Tyler is the newest co-host of The Talk, joining Sara Gilbert, Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne and Sheryl Underwood around the table. Previously a guest host, the actress/comedian must’ve made quite an impact to have clinched permanent spot on the show. Accomplished in her own right, Tyler can add The Talk co-host to her long list of endeavors. Tyler was one of several guest hosts on CBS’ Late Late Show, briefly hosted E!’s Talk Soup, and recently launched the talk show podcast Girl on Guy. Currently lending her voice to one the lead characters of FX’s animated show, Archer, Tyler’s co-starred in countless series, most famously, portraying the first major Black character on NBC’s Friends.
