In the wake of her husband and GOP presidential candidate Herman Cain’s sexual harassment allegations, Gloria Cain is finally breaking her silence.
Mrs. Cain, who has purposely stayed behind the scenes, granted an interview to Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren and said the harassment claims aren’t in line with her husband’s character.
“To hear such graphic allegations and know that that would have been something that was totally disrespectful of her as a woman and I know that’s not the person he is,” Mrs. Cain said.
Last week, a fourth woman came forward claiming Mr. Cain harassed her during the 1990s when he was the president of the National Restaurant Association. Sharon Bialek, Cain’s fourth accuser, held a news conference and said that the former CEO put his hand up her skirt and pushed her head toward his crotch. But Mrs. Cain says her husband of 43 years is incapable of such a thing.
“I looked at especially this last lady and the things that she said I’m thinking he would have to have a split personality to do the things that she said,” Mrs. Cain told Van Susteren.
Mrs. Cain went on to say that despite the allegations and settlements, her husband “totally respects women.”
But is Gloria Cain’s public support of her husband a little too late to save his campaign? You tell us!
