“Thoughts are things; they have tremendous power. Thoughts of doubt and fear are pathways to failure. When you conquer negative attitudes of doubt and fear you conquer failure. Thoughts crystallize into habit and habit solidifies into circumstances.” – Bryan Adams
Negative thoughts are one of the fastest ways to kill your dreams. While you may start out full of energy and excitement to reach your goals, along the way doubt and negativity may creep in. It happens to me, and I know I’m not alone.
When I begin to doubt myself or my choices, or when I begin to worry and engage in negative self-talk, I catch myself and begin thanking God for all of his blessings. Whether or not you believe in God, when you feel yourself beginning to have doubts about your path or start tearing your own self down, quiet those thoughts and remember what you have to be grateful for. Start listing everything–no matter how small–and soon you’ll realize you’re in better shape than you thought.
