“If I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it, even if I may not have it at the beginning.” — Gandhi
Sometimes we psych ourselves out before we even get started. Despite being smart, capable, and able to overcome just about any and every challenge, sometimes we fail to rise to the occasion.
Because we think we can’t.
Remember the story of the Little Engine that Could? Well, our lives are like that. Too often we tell ourselves we can’t meet certain goals or exceed expectations because we are not confident in our abilities. But even if you may not be able to do something at the moment, that doesn’t mean you’ll never be able to achieve that goal.
With a lot of hard work, a few doses of sometimes irrational self-confidence, and a willingness to never, ever believe you can’t do it, like that Little Engine, you’ll be well on your way to reaching your goals.
