News broke this morning that a shooting took place at Pastor Creflo Dollar’s church, which has over 30K members. An unidentified gunman, dressed in a suit, entered Atlanta’s World Changers Church and allegedly opened fire. One man has been confirmed dead from the shooting and it’s reported that the suspect shot the victim at point blank range while he was leading a prayer. More details have emerged via 11Alive:

“Investigators said the suspect, 52-year-old Floyd Palmer of Riverdale, [above] entered a chapel on the church’s campus and started shooting. Palmer is a former church employee; he resigned in August of this year, according to Fulton County spokeswoman Kay Lester. Fulton County officials confirmed that the victim was a 39-year-old church volunteer; the person’s name has not yet been released. Investigators said Palmer may have left the church in a black Subaru station wagon with tinted windows. Lester said Palmer is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees him is asked to call 911.”

It’s a sad day when you’re not even safe in church. Our thoughts are with the victim and members of the church in the wake of this shocking incident.

  • That’s terrible.

  • One thing has nothing to do with the other whether it happens at a mall, police car or your house, violence is everywhere and only because this is a successful pastor its news. Someone got shot and killed just like homicide happens in the hood daily. Noone is above violence. I hope his church grows stronger over this incident. Now he needs medal detectors and a police officer assigned at the door. This is where people go to pray. The gun man was focus, he shot and killed the person he was after. This is satan trying to tear down my tv pastor. He’s a fine person and his money isn’t the issue or having a megachurch. Its about violence!
