When you think you’ve heard it all, there’s always something that comes along and makes you question humanity. For some reason, these “what in the hell is going on with people” events happen in Florida. I’m not sure why, maybe it has something to do with the constant sunshine.
Take Deborah Ann Burns, 37, for example. One night while watching TV in her Immokalee home, her boyfriend decided it would be a good idea to pass gas in her face. Maybe Willie Butler, 53, did this to other people before as a joke, and nothing happened. But apparently, Burns isn’t “other people”. When Burns approached her live-in boyfriend about his bodily emissions, he became agitated and told her to shut up.
Being the sensible woman that she is, she allegedly stabbed him. Burns allegedly grabbed an eight-inch kitchen knife and threw it at the 53-year-old Butler and got him in the stomach. Butler, who suffered a minor laceration, was treated at the scene by EMS personnel.
Well maybe she only stabbed him because he told her to shut up?
Burns was arrested for aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and booked into the county jail, where she is being held in lieu of $50,000 bond on the felony count. This isn’t her first time at the rodeo, she previously spent 21 months in state prison for aggravated assault with a weapon and battery on a law enforcement officer.
