Jennifer Hudson, the Grammy-award winning singer and actress, is trying to promote the benefits of the Affordable Care Act with the help of a little comedy. Hudson teamed up with funnyordie.com to spoof ABC’s Scandal. The parody has Hudson playing a “fixer” or, as she prefers to call it, a “covert scandal manager.”
Instead of the salacious scandals she’s looking for, Hudson’s keeps on finding clients who just need help keeping their adult children on their insurance plan, receiving free preventive care and other benefits provided by “Obamacare.” But eventually she does find a senator who needs help enrolling his pregnant mistress.
Although the current government situation isn’t a laughing matter, in July, Funny or Die production president Mike Farah and Hudson attended a meeting at the White House to discuss ways to promote the Affordable Care Act.
