Jessica Simpson’s weight has been a frequent topic of tabloid discussion for years, oftentimes reminding her that she definitely didn’t look like her Daisy Duke days.
The 33-year-old designer and singer first joined Weight Watchers after the birth of her daughter Maxwell back in 2012, when she was at her heaviest. Finding herself pregnant five months later with son Ace, Simpson took a break and resumed her role as WW spokesperson after he was born. Since then, she’s been not only dieting – or making healthier eating choices – but also working out daily, alone or with celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak.
As a result, she has lost 60-70 pounds.
Earlier this week, Simpson Instagrammed several photos of her much slimmer, incredibly muscular body. She was dressed in a multi-colored one-piece with cut-outs at the waistline and nude platforms carrying a golf club. “If I’m in a bathing suit I should pose proudly,” she captions on one of the photos.
Many celebrity entertainment sites applauded Simpson for flaunting her “sexy” and “toned” body. But the Daily Mail Online‘s headline reads a little differently: “Time to Stop Now Jessica?” One of the commenters posted, “Skinny muscular legs, slim hips, and large bust are just not a good look…” while another posted “One extreme to the other.”
Now look. All this time, the media and fans have been talking about Simpson being so fat – and a “cow” – but now that she has lost the weight, they think she lost too much. But she’s back to her old size! Which is it because they’re confusing.
