Today In Things That Maybe Should Have Been Ironed Out Before He Got Married:
TMZ claims that Sherri Shepherd’s estranged husband Lamar Sally asked to add an amendment to the couple’s prenup with these alleged heady requests:
You can read the full alleged amendment to the prenup here. Sherri, not surprisingly, would not sign it.
Shepherd and Sally married in 2011 and drew up a prenup then. But Sally has since requested these additions, which seem to be referencing something specific, as he refers to “this weekend” in the amendment. The couple is expecting a baby together via surrogate, for which Sally is seeking full custody. He filed for separation earlier this month, while Shepherd has filed for divorce.
There are couples, even in 2014, where the wife willingly submits to the husband’s authority as the head of the household. But the operative word there is “willingly.” You have to wonder why Lamar Sally would allegedly introduce these stipulations for a prenup after they’d already hitched their wagons to each other. And speaking of putting oneself in a partner’s shoes, I have to wonder what’s in it for Shepherd — for the most part, every single line of the alleged amendment refers to what she should do for him.
For what it’s worth, a source told People, “I don’t think any of us thought this was the right guy for her. … He can’t keep up with her. She is a force of nature.”
