Whoopi Goldberg had her say about Stephen A. Smith’s controversial domestic violence comments during a recent episode of The View.
The “View” host completely agreed with Smith’s comments saying, “You have to learn you can’t hit anyone without expecting to be hit in return.” Goldberg was referring to Smith’s rant about Ray Rice’s two game suspension.
Goldberg then went on to state that she wasn’t victim blaming, after guest host Sunny Hostin accused her of victim blaming.
“Oh, my god, that is not blame the victim! I just said, don’t anybody hit anybody,” she said. “But If you make the choice as a woman, who’s four foot three, and you decide to hit a guy who’s six feet tall and you’re the last thing he wants to deal with that day and he hits you back, you cannot be surprised!”
This is Goldberg’s first time making comments in defense of the men involved in domestic violence. In May, Goldberg also stated that Jay Z had every right to hit Solange back, after the infamous elevator fight.
Clutchettes, do you agree or disagree with Goldberg’s comments?
