Many of us can attest to how challenging it is to secure employment in today’s job market. Nevertheless, one graduate found a way to do so with an unusual tactic.
After applying for more than 300 positions, Alfred Ajani opted to stand in the London Waterloo station, London’s central railway, with a sign that display his résumé.
While some individuals were baffled by his approach there were others who stopped to converse with the young man. Since then, the 22-year-old has received an overwhelming amount of responses. He has even met with representatives from THG Sports, the world’s leading and largest sports hospitality entertainment providers, about a sales position.
In an interview with the Daily Mail Ajani said, “The response has been incredible. I’ve even had to have my family and friends help me go through all the emails and phone messages I’ve received.”
Ajani revealed his mother is pleased with the Coventry University alum.
“My mum, Lola, is really proud of me. She gave me a big hug when she saw the response I had got. And she had me up at 5.30am this morning following up some of the offers I have received.”
