While Halloween is described as a day often celebrated by children who dress in costume and solicit candy or other treats door-to-door (trick-or-treating), it is also the time of the year you can observe the most racist themes in America. In Oklahoma, one woman was appalled when she observed her neighbor’s yard.

As reported by a local news station, Jamilla Phillips was shocked when she saw President Barack Obama’s name on one of the fake Halloween tombstones across the street from her home. Phillips, who is new to the neighborhood, told the news station, “He is the president of the United States and it actually is about respect. It’s a total respect thing because this person is still alive.”

The Dockens family, who is responsible for creating the fake tombstone, said it has been part of their Halloween decorations for three years and has not had a complaint.

Representing his family, Dwayne Dockens said, “[My family and I] made them a few years ago back when it was a big deal, questions up about [Obama’s] birth certificate. And we made all these ourselves so just thought it was kind of humorous and, you know, went ahead and put him in there as well.”

Personally, I believe it’s very disrespectful. What’s your take Clutchettes?

You can see he is inbred just from that one photo.

And as horrible as Bush was, there was never this level of venom thrown at him nor his family by Democrats or anyone else. Except for that Middle Eastern (?) dude who threw his shoe at him, and even that isn’t as bad as the hateful things these goobers in the States have said about President Obama.

    • RE: There is NO comparison to how these two presidents have been treated.

ITA with @seriously? regarding the disrespect toward both Presidents. I think Pres. Obama tries to keep it professional, take the high road, and doesn’t ‘clap back’ when folks like the ‘you lie’ guy attack him on his policies or race. Bush, on the other hand was frequently the butt of jokes; I remember several times he was portrayed as a monkey and other times when his intelligence was mocked (and rightfully so).

  • seriously?

Let’s not repressed our memories on president Bush treatment. Their mockery and ridicule is fuel by different number of factors. President Obama race while president Bush intelligence both getting dragged in the media and from their opposing party. However despite pres. Obama being up constantly for ignorant racially fuel hatred from people he is still a respected global leader. Not a feared global leader but a well liked global leader regardless. Unlike pres.Bush.

No one is repressing anything. Bush was never disrespected in public by Democrat elected officials (remember ‘you lie!’), no one used federal email communication to send racist emails about him and then claimed they had no idea watermelon jokes are racist, and I don’t recall anyone using their limited brain cells to make pretend tomb stones with his name on it. And oh yeah, there weren’t numerous security breaches where armed crazies bum rushed the white house while the secret service stood around with their thumbs up their asses.

There is NO comparison to how these two presidents have been treated.
