Queen Latifah has landed quite an impressive gig. The daytime talk show host has been invited to host the 21st Annual Nobel Peace Prize concert-taking place in Oslo, Norway.

According to Billboard magazine, the ceremony “will honor Kailash Satyarthi and Malala Yousafzai, chosen by the Norweigian Nobel Committee for “their struggle against the oppression of children and young people, and for the right of all children to education”.

Queen Latifah graciously accepted her high-profile assignment and expressed her gratitude for the opportunity, “I’m thrilled to be a part of this year’s concert and to help celebrate such amazing individuals who have each worked so hard on behalf of children’s rights to education”.

The 2014 Noble Peace Prize concert is scheduled for Dec. 11.

if i end up dying ridiculously filthy rich, i plan to do the same thing nobel did, but make it specific to black people. i’m impressed that his last deed on earth was to challenge people to do such great work for the goodness of mankind. i would love to do the same thing for black people to motivate future generations to strive for the best they can offer the black community. i just gotta figure out how to be filthy rich before i die.
