Comedian Bill Cosby is definitely not finding much to laugh about these days. After weeks spent battling allegations and watching his career and legacy slowly fade into oblivion. More victims are stepping forward to share their harrowing tales of sexual assault.

P.J. Masten, a former Playboy Bunny who moonlighted at the Playboy location in Chicago is claiming that in 1979, Cosby tainted her drink and the effects knocked her out. She later woke up “very groggy and very sore”, and very shocked to find herself naked with “this disgusting man next to me”.

Masten was convinced that she was assaulted when she noticed bruise marks all over her body. After reporting the incident to her supervisor, Masten was discouraged from taking further action based on the fact that Cosby and Hugh Hefner, Playboy’s chief and founder were best friends and it was unlikely anyone would believe her story.

Masten kept in touch with former bunnies, and discovered from conversations with them at reunions, that she was not alone. At least a dozen women confirmed they had been subjected to similar ordeals, but were “too ashamed to come forward, too frightened to come forward.”

These accusers have the right to express their stories. He admitted that he cheated on his wife before. I don’t know whether all of these allegations are true or not. Even if one allegation is true, then Bill Cosby should feel shame and he should be held accountable for his actions. If he is innocent of these allegations, then he should move on with his life. Time will tell what will happen to Bill Cosby. One thing is true though. Sexual abuse, rape, etc. are evils that must be opposed and condemned unequivocally.

A White model said that she was approached by two men who offered her 15,000 dollars for a condom full of Cosby’s semen. I don’t know if she’s telling truth, but oh please. Mr. Bill did not rape those White women while his career was taking off. That sounds ridiculous.

Is Ms. Masten or either of the other twelve accusers looking at Hugh Hefner as well? Just curious, one would think he would have some responsibility after she complained. It was his “house”.

    • Mary Burrell

@BCooper: Hugh Hefner said he felt bad for Cosby and if he had any knowledge of any such thing it would not have been tolerated.

That is a fair question. Why not name Hefner as co-defendant who at minimum provided an environment where assault could happen?

Are we ti believe that Bill Cosby was raping “Everybody up in here” in the 60s, 70s and 80s. This is pure bull. It seems every man or woman is taking to the shed. I do not believe these women because if one is wronged, justice is necessary to heal. I can not believe these 50 some women, had no need to justice until Cosby was an old man. Somethings wrong with this story.

How do you know what someone else needs to heal? Is there a standard template for trauma that says that justice is necessary to heal. Is justice the cure for being wronged? Give me a break. I don’t know what happened between Cosby and these women but I am sure not going to get on my high horse and ASSUME I know the facts based on my own views that I pass of as facts.

How does a human heal from being done wrong? Much the as the biological process of healing applies to all humans. Most humans learn this lesson with familial, platonic or romantic relationships.

Geez, how else would crimes be mitigated if justice were not in the offering? Money is not justice, Rodney King and others have taught this lesson. Whether it is a legal issue or family issue, the rules do not change healing is required. Ask anyone who has lost a loved one.
