Screen Shot 2015-04-18 at 12.40.51 PMWell that was quick. Tidal’s first CEO, Andy Chen, has left the company amid rumors of layoffs. In a statement to Billboard, a spokesperson said an interim replacement has taken over.

“Tidal’s new interim CEO is Peter Tonstad a former CEO of parent company Aspiro Group. He has a better understanding of the industry and a clear vision for how the company is looking to change the status quo. He’s streamlining resources to ensure talent is maximized to enhance the customer experience. We’ve eliminated a handful of positions and refocused our company-wide talent to address departments that need support and cut redundancies. Tidal”s offices globally will remain and grow: we are already hiring for several new positions now. We’re excited about our future and what’s in-store for fans who want the best listening experience.”

How are you only in business for less than 2 months and have already had  layoffs? Sounds like something isn’t running as smoothly as they thought it would. Something tells me in a couple of months, Tidal will only be a ripple in a kiddie pool.

And get this, now the company is offering celebrity phone calls to subscribers. Sounds like desperateness.

Very much so….What are Beyonce and Rhianna going to do now? Beyonce tried to pull another scam over on her fans, this time… it backfired on her. Unless she apologizes, she just ended what was left of her career. Beyonce is pretty miserable right now. Think about it:

She doesn’t want to market herself on YouTube anymore…. she can save those video snippets to bring people toTidal.

      No more Apple iTunes…

      No more Spotify….insane.

No more music channels previewing her stuff….

      No more Amazon downloads….

No more Best Buy and Walmart. Target and Amazon guit selling Beyonce’s discs long ago.

She’ll probably never get another television commercial. Especially after declaring herself French and Native American in the last Loreal commercial.

Probably never get invited to sing anywhere again, due to the low rent element she brings to everything, by turning attention to herself, no matter what. The way her fans treated Kid Rock sealed the deal, because she didn’t check them on that.

Greed, and her husbands jealousy of Dre did all of this. Smh…. I can’t feel sorry, at all.

Honestly, this seems like it was just an iffy investment from the start then coupled with the shaky launch of it because it all seemed rushed.

It’s time for The Carter’s to apologize, or retire.

It is strange for one CEO to leave a company so quickly. Companies have made huge comebacks throughout history. For Tidal have such a radical change can mean instability. The future of the Tidal is uncertain. It could grow, it could fail, and it might even be part of a merger (which is very common in our generation). Yet, these events now are not good signs for Tidal in my opinion.
