Learning how to work leather is not that hard and Africans have been doing it since forever. Of course it was Africans who taught Europeans about it but of course that is lost in history. Working leather is a traditional craft that was passed down as part of a rite of passage. Of course much has been lost due to colonization and its impact on traditional African culture but there is so much still there to provide inspiration.

Great article, more black brands/designers need our support but they are often overshadowed by the European fashion houses.
