Not everyone is impressed with Caitlyn Jenner’s new series or life choices being displayed on I am Cait. And one of those people include the ever-opinionated Raven-Symoné.
During Monday’s episode of The View, Raven spoke about Jenner’s new tv series and life.
“I think it’s wonderful, and yes, it needs a light being shined on it,” Symone, 29, who came out herself last year, noted of the LGBTQ community. “When I came out, I didn’t go and go hardcore and be like, ‘I’m going to save the world for LGBT…’ You’ve got to learn it. You’ve got to learn it first, and she’s not, really.”
Raven also spoke out about her own ‘coming out’ story when Rosie Perez suggested that maybe Jenner was being strategic.
“Well, I think you can be strategic before you come out as well,” the former Disney star responded. “Before [I came out], I was definitely repping the community, even when I wasn’t saying this is what I was. And I’m not faulting [Caitlyn], because yes, we need [her]. It’s too fast, too soon.”
But one person does have Jenner’s support and that’s Kanye West.
During the premiere episode, West showed up with his wife to visit Jenner. He also brought along his ‘new voice’.
I’m not quite sure if West was playing it up for the tv, because even Jenner admitted that she’s not close to West. But it’s good to see West put on a smile, really quick, and then take it off.
