We’re coming off a real Black ass night at the Emmys, so it’s only fitting that Black folks would be making #BlackOutDay one of the top trending topics in the nation.

In case you’re not up on game, #BlackOutDay was started back in March by a Tumblr user named expect-the-greatest. He encouraged folks to share selfies, quotes, gifs, or any other really Black, really affirming things across social media to tell the world (and remind ourselves), we matter, we’re here, and we’re awesome.

Today’s #BlackOutDay has been exceptionally dope, with more 100,000 folks chiming in.

Take a look.

Isn’t it just wonderful?

Happy #BlackOutDay fam! Have you participated?
