Toni Braxton has authorized Lifetime to bring her Un-Break My Heart memoir to the small screen. The movie, like the book, will retell the singer’s life story, touching on her battle with lupus, financial troubles, divorce, her son’s autism and her resulting activism and her family struggles.
“Un-Break My Heart is the never-before-told story of the measures Braxton took to make herself and her family whole again, serving as an inspiration to people around the world,” Lifetime stated.
Braxton will executive produce the project and appear in the film, but not as herself. Veteran director Vondie Curtis-Hall will direct the film.
