Hillary Clinton is going for the black vote and she’s hired a black PR firm to help her.

Clinton has hired Burrell Communications, an African-American advertising and media firm, based out of Chicago. The firm is owned by two African-American women, McGhee Williams Osse and Faye Ferguson, both with decades of PR experience.

Burrell Communications will help Clinton’s campaign by  focusing on African-American voters, specifically in key states such as South Carolina.

It’s interesting to see Clinton reaching out to a black owned business. As well as Donald Trump hiring a black woman as his mouthpiece. But how will this drive Clinton’s campaign?

Burrell Communications has a long history with working with brands and has been involved in the Chicago community since its founding. Clinton definitely picked the right group of people to work with.

I’m not feeling that slogan. Makes us black people sound like a damn trend instead of human beings.

Hmmm You didn’t get the memo? That’s how they view us during elections.

      exactly, fill our heads w/empty promises . . .

I was commenting on the ad itself and not Hillary Clinton. It’s obvious that Clinton is hoping to get all the black women to vote for her. Hires a black PR firm owned by two black women to help her- there’s some votes there. The PR firm is going to go hard for her election and when black and brown women hear this story, they’re going to vote for Hillary as well. Once elected, she’s going to forget all about the black women who voted for her LIKE THEY ALL DO. She doesn’t care about the black or brown male vote because a lot of them aren’t eligible due to the constant change of voting laws, don’t have proper ID, are ex-felons, whatever. Also because most men aren’t going for a woman running for President.

So I don’t get the response of not getting the memo. What else is there to know?

Some want to fund a corporate supporter of militarism and the status quo. That is the reality in which we live. Billionaires fund both the Democrats and the Republicans in the tow party duopoly. Both parties have exploited our black people and have treated us as commodities for centuries not as human beings. It is not unusual for Hillary Clinton to do this action. Many members of both major parties don’t care about social justice or peace. What they do care about deals with corporate power, austerity, and the growth of their own power at our expense, which is the tragic thing about it. Republicans and Democrats wage war against people of color overseas while the corporate media ignores the evils of Western imperialism. Both parties have people who even refuse to demilitarize the local police. Therefore, we have to maintain political independence.
