A Notre Dame University academic tutor has been fired from her position and will likely face charges after she allegedly coerced Black student-athletes into having sex with her daughter.
In addition to complaints filed by several of her African-American students, the tutor and the school are also facing a lawsuit from one student whose lawyer says his client was repeatedly subjected to a ““sexually abusive and hostile educational environment,” according to the The NY Daily News.
According to internal school reports obtained by the NYDN, the student claimed that the academic coach would arrange for him to have sex with her daughter and then later follow up with questioning about things ranging from the frequency and quality of the encounters, to specific inquiries about his genitalia. The report goes on to allege that when the student tried to end the relationship with her daughter, the coach attempted to pressure him into converting to Catholicism at her request, while also working with a colleague on the school’s medical staff to “medicate” him in an attempt to keep him “passive” and “under control.”
The University’s only comment in response to the explosive claims and lawsuit thus far were made in this statement to the South Bend Tribune:
“The allegations against the University of Notre Dame in the complaint are unfounded. As are gratuitous and unfounded references to ‘student athletes’ — an allegation that is nothing more than a cynical attempt to attract publicity.”
What a sick and bizarre chain of events! We’ll keep you posted on this story as it continues to unfold.
