Come harder; this won’t be easy. That’s the first thing that came to our minds when Hillary Clinton made the bold proclamation that she wants to be as good a president as Beyoncé is a performer.
In all fairness, Clinton was set up for that type of comment when an attendee at a town hall meeting in Iowa went way out in left field, asking the democratic candidate: “If you could choose, would you rather be the president or Beyoncé?” Because knowing that is far more important than figuring out how Clinton plans to handle immigration, health care, ISIS, police brutality, student loan debt, you know the stuff most Americans care about. Quick on her toes, Clinton answered the question, saying:
“I’d rather be president because I can’t sing. Nobody would pay to see me sing or dance. Even when I was a way lot younger, that just wasn’t in the cards for me.
“You see her on TV, it’s impressive; you see her in person, you’re just stunned. Thinking like, how does she do that? Really. I mean, she’s singing, she’s up and she’s down. She’s just amazing.
“I want to be as good a president as Beyoncé is a performer.”
Well, we all have dreams…
