Ethel Easter’s doctor office rubbed her the wrong way when she was attempting to schedule surgery for her hernia. The doctor’s office wasn’t the most cordial to her, so she decided on the day of her surgery to slide a recorder into her hair weave to hear what they would say about her.
And here’s the convo that was captured between the surgeons and operating room staff:
“She’s a handful she had some choice words for us in the clinic when we didn’t book her case in two weeks.”
“I’m going to call a lawyer and file a complaint”
“That doesn’t seem like the thing to say to the person whose going to do your surgery”
“Did you see her belly button?” says a female.
“Precious meet Precious”.
Easter said they were comparing her to the “Precious” character from Lee Daniels’ movie.
“When I heard the comments on the tape and listened to them I was shocked,” said community activist Quanell X. “I had no idea that doctors, anesthesiologist and nurses would carry themselves in this manner in an operating room.”
