Chris Brown was arrested on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon Tuesday afternoon, after a woman named Baylee Curran claimed he pointed a gun at her in his Los Angeles home.
Brown was booked into an LAPD jail facility before being transferred to county jail and posting bail. Brown was released on $250,000 bail, later Tuesday evening.
According to Mark Geragos, Brown’s attorney, his client is innocent and the truth will come out.
“Thanks to everyone for their support and well wishes,” he tweeted. “Chris is out and well. The allegations against him are demonstrably false #TeamBreezy.”
Also corroborating Brown’s innocence is Ray J, who was at Brown’s house when the incident occurred.
According to Curran, who actually has a warrant for her arrest in NYC for theft, she was admiring a piece of jewelry, when Brown’s friend became irate and told her not to touch it. And that’s when Brown pulled the gun on her.
Brown posted a now-deleted Instagram video on Tuesday declaring his innocence.
“What I do care about is you are defacing my name and my character and integrity,” he said in one of the videos.
