Earlier this year, Denzel Washington was the victim of a fake news story, and recently he put mainstream media on blast for its lies.
“We live in an era of too much information,” Washington said. “So what a responsibility you all have — to tell the truth,” Washington continued.
“If you don’t read the newspaper, you’re uninformed. If you do read it, you’re misinformed,” he said. “In our society, now it’s just first — who cares, get it out there. We don’t care who it hurts. We don’t care who we destroy. We don’t care if it’s true. Just say it, sell it. Anything you practice you’ll get good at — including BS.”

The fake news story Washington was involved in claimed Washington had dropped his support of Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton to endorse GOP nominee Donald Trump. It circulated for several days before it was removed from fake news sites.
