Since 74 year-old Comedian Bill Cosby was accused of multiple aggravated assaults, few have come to his defense. Wednesday morning though, Cosby’s daughter Evin, did just that.
NNPA Newswire published an essay written by Evin Cosby, explaining how the media’s treatment of her father has impacted her life and family.
“The public persecution of my dad, my kids’ grandfather, and the cruelty of the media and those who speak out branding my father a ‘rapist’ without ever knowing the truth and who shame our family and our friends for defending my dad, makes all of this so much worse for my family and my children,” Cosby writes.
She went on to dismiss the charges brought against her father in court, alleging that the cases are unsubstantiated.
“Instead of going through the criminal justice system, these stories never got investigated and just got repeated. They have been accepted as the truth.”
Evin described her dad as a champion for women.
